Fast downloads, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
I was looking for a backup news service that was affordable, had good retention and would allow me to buy block data that didn't expire. I've been using NewsDemon for three months now as my backup service and it hasn't let me down yet, every time I need to access their servers they are there and they are fast. Happy customer and will be extending my data block when it eventually runs out.
Other than not being able to take advantage of a special promotion for Cloud storage that was offered when I signed up (an email to Newsdemon's support was answered quickly with an explanation that it was no longer being offered due to legal issues), I've been extremely satisfied with my block account, since I only use usenet sparingly and don't need unlimited monthly downloads. Much better post availability than another premium service I've used in the past.
I got a long time subscribtion to Astraweb, because of its cheap price. But then some files get corrupted along the download, one part, two, five, ten and then nearly all ! Each time I was downloading a full Swiss cheese. Then I bought a small block account package to Newsdemon and use their servers to complete to the missing parts while still downloading with Astraweb and it works ! So now I got the cheapest of the cheapest with premium quality ! What else could I ask for ?
