After trying many usenet providers, I've chosen Newsdemon, as it's cheaper, faster and with better completion.

When I joined I could not get ssl on us.newsdemon as advertised, vpn would not activate. When I went to the help desk from my user profile I had to enter those details again. When the tech support replied they said that ssl works on the general server only (not as advertised) and to reset my vpn password. When I reset my password I did not receive an email as stated. Vpn still does not work nor can I reset my password. Yes I have checked and rechecked my username and password. After the tech replied he closed the ticket without giving me an easy way to respond so when I went back to the tech support site, I entered my username and password and it rejected my login even though I just used this login to access my profile seconds before. When I reset my password I did not receive an email nor was I able to login with that password. Pretty poor.. Seems like your purposely making it difficult.
Am an existing customer and was sent a flyer for a discount if I switched to a different kind of account. The discount offered would have saved me money overall, so I went to investigate. Turned out that my existing account could not be changed (why?) and I needed to open a new account. So tried this, and was lead into a very obscure / confusing sign up process, that ended up with me being charged *more* than the regular price for the alternative service (and the offered discount nowhere in sight). Sign up process seemed to follow the "sign up and then we'll tell you what we're going to charge" model... and so the high charge was an unwelcome surprise. I cancelled the account immediately, but had to write to customer services to ask for a refund... Only redeeming aspect was that customer service quickly refunded the money - but should never have been necessary. Recommendation? Avoid this service: there are other / better ones around.
